What time is it? How much longer? Are we there yet?

Those are questions that I hear on a regular basis….but they are also questions that lead to math learning on the go….something I’m a firm believer in!!

I don’t know about you, but time is one of those skills that need to be constantly reviewed. And though we often find ourselves reading digital clocks, predicting the time of arrival, and figuring out elapsed time problems…nowadays there isn’t much “on the go learning” for analog clocks. So I have to be very intentional about providing games to review this skill.

So as part of our Seven Day of Free Christmas Printables here is a printable time game.

To begin, children place their game piece on the large yellow star. Players will take turns rolling the die and moving around the board.

While they are traveling around the board, if they happen to land on an empty space, nothing happens.

But, If they land on a picture…the fun begins.

First, they draw a clock and figure out the correct time.

Next, they look at the toy they landed on, and find that match on their BINGO card. They get to use a Gum Drop to cover up that picture.

Let’s say they land on a toy, and that toy is already covered up on their BINGO sheet. Well, they still get to draw a time card. If they can correctly say the time, they get to keep that toy covered up. Get it wrong, and Whoops…..they have to remove the Gum Drop from that toy!!!

The game ends when a person to cover up their whole board wins.

Enjoy practicing telling time with this fun printable time game.
