# Free Christmas Tree Math Shape Game (No-Prep)

This math shape game lets children have fun practicing the names of shapes and recognizing them. This game has shapes like a rhombus, rectangle, parallelogram, hexagon, etc.

Is the excitement level high at your house or school? The clock is ticking toward a break and all the fun and excitement over the Christmas season has our little ones a little distracted.

But the learning must go on.

So today I have a simple game that you can pull out to get your kiddos learning and having fun. It is a math shape game designed to help children practice the names of 2D shapes.

## Before the game:

This game isn’t designed for teaching shapes, it is just a review. So if you need some activities for teaching the names of the shapes, this bundle has a ton of activities for you to use. And once they know the names of the shapes, then pull this game out as a fun review.

## Prep-Work

Now it is time to prep for the game, and this will only take you a few minutes.

1. First, print off the two game boards on card stock paper.
2. Next, gather up a pencil, paperclip, and game pieces. (You can purchase spinners from Amazon if that is easier for your children.)

And that is it. You are ready to play!!

## Math Shape Game

Time to play!!!

This game is easy for children to play.

To begin, they spin the spinner and see what shape name they land on.

Now they move their piece once space until they land on the shape they spun. You can challenge them even more by having them say each shape as they go over it. In this example, the child landed on a pentagon, so they moved their game piece until they came to a square with a pentagon on it.

The children continue spinning and moving around the board until they spin the shape that is in the last square.

It is a simple math shape game, but it is a fun way to get in some review and learning at this crazy time of year.
