Teen numbers.

Right now teen numbers are the focus of my little girl’s math instruction.

We are working on recognizing and naming the numbers, putting them in order, and being able to count objects up to 20.

My little ones are very excited about Valentine’s Day, so I decide to make a quick game to keep working on these skills.

This teen number game was a fun way to get in a little extra practice, and I hope your little ones will enjoy it too.

This game only takes a few minutes to prep.

  1. First, print off all the pages.
  2. Next, cut out the squares with the ten frames on them.
  3. Now, choose the game board you want to use. Find the ten frames that match the numbers on the game board, and place those ten frame cards in large learning cubes.

Teen Numbers Game:

Now it is time to play.

How To Play:

Children roll the die and find that number on the board. They then do one of the following.

1. Cover up the answer on the board with a cube.

2. Knock off the opponent’s piece, and place their cube on the spot. (Only if there is just one cube on the answer.)

3. Secure the spot by placing a cube on top of a cube they had already placed on the answer.

4. Nothing! The answer has already been secured or the answer is not on the board.

The person with the most secured answer when the timer runs out wins, or the person with the most secured
answers when all answers have been secured wins.
