Count and Find Missing Numbers Worksheet

Our first activity will be a simple one. See the given number line in the following image. Here you can write the numbers between 1-20. But as you see, all the numbers are not given. See the following image for a better understanding.

Count and Find Missing Numbers

Now, in the following worksheet try to find the missing numbers on the number line.

Skip and Count on Number Line Worksheet

In the previous worksheet, we have seen non-interval counting on the number line. Now we’re heading on to a different version of the above activity. Instead of finding digits one by one, you have to skip count by 2, 3, or 5 to find the next value. For example, you have been told to skip count by 2. So, if the first number is 0, then the next number will be 0 + 2 = 2. See the following image for a better understanding.

Skip and Count on Number Lin

By understanding the above rule, find the missing numbers on the number lines in the following worksheet.

Easter-Themed Finding Missing Number Worksheet

Some numbers are given in the Easter eggs in the following images. You will find some Easter eggs with no number on them. Your job is to find the missing numbers.

Now, how do I do that? Here you will use the term common difference. Take the two numbers given in the first place, which are 17 and 28. Now, subtract the smaller number from the bigger number, which will be 28 – 17 = 11. That’s our clue. See the following image for a better understanding.

Find the missing numbers in the following worksheet by either adding or subtracting this common difference.

Find the Missing Numbers in Dinosaur Eggs Worksheet

In this activity, you have to find dinosaur eggs with missing numbers. You just need to perform some simple multiplication to do that. See the given egg numbers. Find the relationship of multiplication between them.

For example, the third number is 8, and the fourth number is 16. So, the fourth number is double the first number. See the following image for a better understanding.

In this way, find all the missing numbers given in the following worksheet.

Diwali-Based Missing Number Line Worksheet

Here, you have to find missing numbers on a Diwali-themed number line. This activity will be particularly different. Because all the numbers were smaller to greater in those above examples.

But here we will see that the numbers are in decreasing order. See the following image for a better understanding.

Diwali-Based Missing Number in Lamps

As the numbers are in decreasing order, you have to find the missing numbers either by subtracting or dividing from the previous clues.

Find Missing Number on a 100 Chart Worksheet

We are going to solve another variety of finding missing numbers in this discussion. Have you heard of the 100 charts? Like the following image, you will be provided with a chart where you can write the numbers 1-100 in it.

In one row, you can write 10 numbers. Some of the numbers are missing from the chart. Just go through the chart carefully and find them all.

Finding Integers on Number Line Worksheet

Integers are numbers that can either be positive, negative, or zero. But an integer will always be a whole number, you cannot call a fraction an integer. In this task, you will do some number line exercises with integers.

You have to find both positive and negative numbers to fill the number lines in the following worksheets. See the following image for a better understanding.

Finding Integers on Number Line

But remember some things before proceeding.

  • When you are adding or subtracting a negative number, the seemingly bigger number is always the smaller. For example between -20 and -30, -20 is greater than -30.
  • If you subtract a bigger number from a smaller one, the result will always be negative.
  • When you multiply or divide two negative numbers, the result will always be positive.

So, let’s start to find those missing numbers one by one in the following worksheet.

Finding Missing Fractions on Number Line Worksheet

In this activity, we will find several missing fractions on a number line. In the following worksheets, you will find several number lines with some fractions written on them. But all the series of these fractions are not complete. You can see some fractions are missing from each series. You have to find all these fractions. See the following image for a better understanding.

Finding Missing Fractions on Number Line

Here are some tricks and tips to find fractions.

  • To find a numerator, you have to count the dot of the top space from the beginning till you reach your problem spot. The number of dots you just passed is your desired numerator.
  • To find the denominator, just count the number of spaces between the beginning and the ending number of a number line. The number of spaces you got is your denominator.
  • In the end, write the missing fraction with the numerator and the denominator you got from the above two steps.

Now, after understanding the above discussion, solve all the problems given in the following worksheet.

Find Decimals on Number Line Worksheet

We have worked with whole numbers and fractions in our previous activities. In this worksheet, you have to find some decimals on the number line.

All the following worksheets are loaded with decimal numbers. Some numbers are missing from each number line. Understand the pattern and find all the missing numbers.

Complete the Number Line from Beginning, Middle and End Worksheet

This activity is basically a combination of all the previous ones. We will just use different opening sequences in this example. Here, three number lines are given. But their sequences are not the same.

The numbers of the first number line have been given from the end, the second one from the beginning, and the third one is scattered. So, apply your techniques and shine your skills by finding them all.

Addition and Subtraction on Number Line Worksheet

We will finish our missing numbers on a number line activity by doing addition and subtraction of numbers and then showing them on the number line. The following worksheets contain some addition and subtraction problems. Each of the problems has a respective number line assigned to it.
